Ginette came to our home several days after the birth of our twins. As we already had a busy 15-month-old toddler, we were in need of reliable, experienced and most of all loving care for our three children. Ginette far exceeded our hopes and remained our part-time nanny for over two years.

Ginette assumed full responsibility for care of our twins at times when I was resting or away from the home. This included feeding, bathing and changing them, keeping them happy and stimulated, taking them out for walks and activities, and putting them down for naps. She accomplished all of this with competence and confidence that was clearly very soothing for the children. Ginette also introduced our children to the french language in a way that seemed natural and enjoyable for them.

When the children were sleeping, Ginette thoroughly cleaned up from their meals, washed their laundry, and tidied toys. She always found chores that needed doing, and never rested idly.

Our home can be very chaotic and stressful at times. Ginette accepted and adapted to this with a discretion and calmness that has been greatly appreciated.

In January of 2008, Ginette will accompany us as we move to South Africa. This will entail two very long plane trips and several weeks as a live-in nanny. It will also involve helping the children settle into a new house and cope with a great deal of change and upheaval. I am very grateful that Ginette has agreed to come with us. I know she will provide stability and reassurance for the all of the kids.

Our children have grown to love and trust Ginette. We all consider her to be part of our family.

Ginette was our children’s nanny from April 2003 to June 2004. Over the course of this time, Ginette became much more than a nanny to our family – she became our friend and someone we could trust and rely on for advice and assistance on a day to day basis.
